Know about the Skilling Australian Fund (SAF) Levy

At the time of filing the nomination application, the total amount of SAF levy is payable in full. This amount is tax deductible and should be paid by the sponsoring employer.

Can anyone be exempted from paying SAF Levy? Is Refund Available?

Only for Religious workers who have been nominated under the Labour Agreement streams of TSS visa are exempted. All others who act like a party to Labor Agreement should pay the SAF levy and it cannot be exempted.

Can sponsor pass this fee to the applicant?

No, they cannot pass this fee to the applicant, the SAF levy has to be paid by the sponsoring business.
